With high blood pressure being such a dangerous medical condition, it helps to have a very good blood pressure monitor in your home so as to be able to better manage this condition. Of course you will always want to work with your doctor on how best to do this, but just being able to monitor this condition can help to prevent more serious health conditions. High blood pressure is not the only form of abnormal blood pressure. There is also the less common low blood pressure condition. Although less prevalent a medical condition, this is no less dangerous than its sister condition. It can manifest itself as a feeling of faintness, sudden confusion and anxiety and extreme dizziness.

Then there is the question of how you care for your blood pressure monitor. Most monitors of course are extremely sturdy, and will come with proper care instructions, but things such as environmental conditions are important to consider. For instance, extreme heat could damage the mechanisms in your monitor and lead to incorrect readings. Batteries of course should be removed if the monitor will not be used for a long time and regular cleaning can only help.
